A four story Georgian house originally built in 1778 as a tavern,now exists as a gastropub located on Unity Alley in the historic Charleston district. McCrady's claim to fame is entertaining President George Washington with a 30 course dinner in 1791. Today, still having the original tavern atmosphere, but now serving contemporary Southern farm to table cuisine including ingredients grown in the restaurants rooftop garden. The menu changes daily and celebrates Lowcountry flavors. Notable for their award winning wine cellar, they also offer cocktails and an impressive craft beer menu. Serving lunch Wednesday - Friday, dinner nightly and brunch on Saturday and Sunday. Reservations are available.
