The 2nd Sunday of each month from 1pm - 5pm King street closes to traffic to celebrate shopping, dining and southern hospitality.

April - Volvo Cars Open

More then a tennis tournament, but a festival with the largest pay-off in women's tennis, makes this one of the hottest sports tickets in Charleston. A week long event, that entertains with a variety of activities, events and after-parties held at the state of the art, Family Circle Tennis facility creates a one of a kind experience on beautiful Daniel Island.

Charleston's Farmers Market

Open every Saturday April - November from 8am - 2pm and located in Marion Square. The Farmers Market was created to support local Lowcountry farmers and growers, artisans & crafters, live performers and community groups. Attracting locals and tourists, offering fresh seasonal produce, plants, herbs and flowers, various local food vendors, live entertainment and arts and crafts from local artisans.

December - Christmas In Charleston

As memorable as Charleston is for visitors, you have not truly experienced Charleston until you have experienced Christmas in Charleston. From the Annual Festival of Lights at James Island County Park to spiritual concerts at one of the many churches, night-time parade of boats, touring stately Charleston Mansions all gussied up for the holidays with heirloom decorations, holiday shopping on King Street, purchasing custom Lowcountry crafts at the City Market, learning some of the many Charleston holiday traditions meanwhile dining locally or taking a one horse open carriage ride through downtown. December - New Years Yorktown Countdown

Charleston's largest New Years Eve Adult's only celebration. Party in the New Year with live bands and DJ's, playing dance, funk, rock, hiphop and top 40's, there is sure to be something for everyone. Party in the airport hangar or upgrade to limited tickets on the Yorktown for a VIP celebration. Either way your countdown to the New Year is a countdown of fun.

February - Gourmet & Grapes

Gourmet & Grapes is a fundraiser weekend that combines renowned chefs and winemakers to raise money for cancer research. Events include, regional chef's preparing their specialties with wine pairings, from bbq's to black tie private dinners, lunches and wine seminars, a Wine Odyssey event and fundraising auctions. These events, take place at The Sanctuary at Kiawah Golf Resort and proceeds benefit Hollings Cancer Center at the Medical University of South Carolina. All events require tickets.

Gallery Row - First Friday on Broad

Gallery Row on Historic Broad Street in the French Quarter, hosts a monthly art showcase the first Friday of every month from 5pm - 8pm. Hosted by the Broad Street Merchants Association, view fine art and enjoy refreshments in the boutiques, galleries, and bodegas along Gallery Row. A great opportunity to enjoy Charleston's local artist and socialize in Charleston hospitality.

Holiday Market at Marion Square

Shop Charleston style for the holidays in Marion Square. Open Saturday's and Sunday's in December up until the week before Christmas from 9am - 3pm. Attracting locals and tourists, offering seasonal producem plants, herbs and flowers, various food vendors, live entertainment, holiday gifts and arts and crafts from local artisans and other seasonal entertainment, including visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

January - Annual Lowcountry Oyster Festival

The Greater Charleston Restaurant Association holds this event annually at Boone Hall Plantation. The world’s largest oyster festival, named as one of the “top 20 events in the southeast” by Southeastern Tourism Society. Typically held at the end of January, a day at this festival includes, A "Food Court" showcasing some of Charleston's favorite restaurants, Oyster Shucking and Oyster Eating Contests, wine, domestic and imported beers, and live music. This family friendly event also includes a Children’s Area.

July - Patriot's Point 4th of July Blast

A family friendly Independence Day celebration over Charleston Harbor with live music and entertainment on shore. Limited, flight deck tickets are also available for a fee, to watch the show from the USS Yorktown. Food and beverages are available for purchase, as are fun activities for children making this the perfect 4th of July Celebration.

March - Charleston Fashion Week

Held under tents along Marion Square in downtown Charleston, and considered one of the premier fashion weeks in the country. Featuring up and coming designers, a five-night celebration showcasing more than 35 runway shows, an Emerging Designer Competition: East Coast, and a Rock the Runway Model Competition™. This event has been accredited with launching the careers of numerous emerging fashion designers and models, with runway shows, various entertainment & after-parties.

March - Charleston Wine + Food Festival

November - Charleston International Film Festival

Produced by Charliewood Pictures, this festival was created to showcase the art of film-making, its filmmakers, directors, actors and the cinephile. Their goal is to educate the community on the arts and sciences of film-making. This 5 day event at the Charleston Music Hall includes, film viewings of shorts and features, workshops, receptions, after parties and the awards gala on the final night.
